Hi, I'm Keith. I'm a Cambridge Delta qualified EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teacher and teacher trainer. I've been explaining the ins and outs of grammar to teachers and students for over 15 years, in Indonesia, Australia, Morocco, Spain, Italy, Poland, France and the UK. What will I learn?
Here's an overview of what you'll learn in each module:
Module 1 - What is grammar?
You'll start by learning the basics of what grammar is all about. You'll learn how we build words and put these words together into sentences, and see how grammar fits into the bigger picture of the English language as a whole.
Module 2 - Parts of speech
In module 2 you'll learn about nouns, verbs, adjectives, pronouns and all the other types of word that make up the English language. You'll see how to use different types of these words in sentences.
Module 3 - Clauses and sentences
In module 3 you'll learn how to make all the different types of clause and sentence, from simple to more complex ones. You'll understand why we need these different types of clause and sentence and the meanings they give us.
Module 4 - Verb tenses, verb forms and more
In module 4 you'll learn about the past and present tenses, how we talk about the future in English, how and why to use active and passive voice, how we report what someone else said, how we make conditional clauses and sentences, and more.
I feel like I am way more prepared now to answer specific questions from my students. Will give you way more confidence about grammar even if you already have a basic knowledge.
