What will I learn?
Here's an overview of what you'll learn in each part of the course. You can also see the course outline below.
Part 1 - What is grammar?
You'll start by learning the basics of what grammar is all about. You'll learn how we build words and put these words together into sentences, and see how grammar fits into the bigger picture of the English language as a whole.
Part 2 - Parts of speech
In part 2 you'll learn about nouns, verbs, adjectives, pronouns and all the other types of word that make up the English language. You'll see how to use different types of these words in sentences.
Part 3 - Clauses and sentences
In part 3 you'll learn how to make all the different types of clause and sentence, from simple to more complex ones. You'll understand why we need these different types of clause and sentence and the meanings they give us.
Part 4 - Verb tenses, verb forms and more
In part 4 you'll learn about the past and present tenses, how we talk about the future in English, how and why to use active and passive voice, how we report what someone else said, how we make conditional clauses and sentences, and more.
